The Continental GT boot lid is a long, subtle curve, which is why generic universal lips never sit right on it — they bridge the crown and leave a visible gap at the ends.
This lip is produced against the boot-lid profile of the first-generation car, so the contact face follows the curvature and the trailing edge stays parallel with the lid shut line.
Why the original is unavailable
Bentley never offered this profile as a serviceable retail part on most specifications, and the aftermarket alternatives are generic shapes rather than a fit to this body.

Rigid, paintable polymer finished ready for preparation and paint by a body shop, chosen for stiffness across the length of the lid so the profile does not bow.
