BMW E31 850 840 Door Vent
Door vents on the E31 sit at the top of the card where sunlight lands for most of the day. UV turns the fine louvres chalky and brittle, and the first firm push while cleaning takes a section out.
Ours is reproduced from a measured original, so louvre spacing, depth and the clip pattern behind the vent all match — it pushes into the original door card without adhesive.
Why the original is unavailable
A cosmetic trim part BMW stopped supplying long ago; the used market has the same sun damage because every car parked outdoors degraded them equally.
Material and finish
UV-stable polymer finished to the original grain, chosen specifically because this part sits in direct sunlight rather than in shadow.

Fitment notes

- Inspect the door-card mounting lands — a previously broken vent often takes part of the card clip with it.
